Whichbook wins plaudits in US
A reference tool that helps readers decide on their next book has been recognised by the ALA's Reference and User Services Association.  The site has been supported by library furniture supplier, Opening the Book since 2003.  Books on the site have all been read by trained readers who then grade the books against each category.

Mobile tech helps Edge Hill
Edge Hill University has signed a contract with Capita to deliver a new library services platform.  The deal will give students access to a new discovery system providing info on physical and digital assets at the library. Using Proquest's Summons Service a single search box will return results across mobile, table and computer platforms helping improve the user experience. www.capita.co.uk/libraries
